This is a gun for small game hunting, and in a survival situation I would be happy to have it to put fresh meat in the campfire stew. Sometimes they recycle their accessory designs from different Ruger pistols. True, a wise shooter doesnt carry one with the hammer resting on a loaded chamber, but the same shortcoming exists with all the Colt SAAs, and one Ruger will outlast a whole case of Colt SAAs, of which I currently have three, all of which have suffered parts breakages despite being used only relatively lightly.
